Kuwait, 19 April 2023: Within the framework of its corporate social responsibility program, and as part of its celebration of the Gergean heritage festival, Kuwait International Bank (KIB) participated in the annual Arab Orphan Day event. Taking place under the auspices and in the presence of Minister of Social Affairs and Community Development and Minister of State for Women and Childhood Affairs, Engineer Mai Al-Baghli, the Family Nursery Department organized the annual festivities under the slogan “We are your friends”.
Commenting on the occasion, Abdullah Al Khamees, from KIB’s Marketing and Corporate Communications Unit, stated that this initiative came as part of KIB’s continuous commitment to its social responsibility, in accordance with its motto “Bank for Life”. He said: “In Line with its annual tradition and its commitment to caring for children, especially orphans, KIB participated in this annual celebration, distributing Gergean among attendees to share the joy and help children create moments of happiness and beautiful memories.”
Al Khamees stressed that KIB seeks to continuously participate in different activities that serve various segments of society, especially children, within the framework of the Bank’s Ramadan campaign, which includes numerous humanitarian and social activities, aimed at promoting a sense of social responsibility.
It is worth noting that KIB is constantly keen on participating in various activities and events that are concerned with children and youth, because of their important role in building a better future for the country. The Bank is also keen on mainstreaming the concept of comprehensive social responsibility, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
