7 April 2023 - Viu, PCCW’s leading pan-regional over-the-top (“OTT”) video streaming service, has strengthened its collaboration with Zain, Kuwait’s leading operator and digital service provider, to offer a complimentary Viu Premium subscription to active customers on selected plans of Zain’s all-new home broadband MAX offerings. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Viu’s relationship with Zain Kuwait, offering customers the opportunity to experience the platform’s content that caters to diverse audiences with complete and ad-free access to Viu Premium, Arabic Original series, Korean and Turkish content. Rohit D'silva, Chief Business Officer, Middle East and South Africa, Viu, said, “Today's announcement builds on our already strong relationship with Zain Kuwait. We are excited to open up a new world of entertainment for Zain’s customers across Kuwait. We are confident that our collaboration with Zain will give its customers access to high-quality entertainment while making viewing experiences more enjoyable.” Viewers not subscribed to Zain Kuwait’s MAX offerings can access the Viu Premium service for 2 KWD per month via direct carrier billing on their postpaid or prepaid plans. Viu is home to some of the MENA region’s most loved stories, such as the award-winning Al Meshwar and Jazeerat Ghemam, alongside an ever-growing collection of exclusive original titles, including El E’ilah Di.
