KIB introduces major enhancements to its Mobile App, expanding customer convenience and control

Kuwait, 13 December  2025: Kuwait International Bank (KIB) has announced a new wave of enhancements to its KIB Mobile App, marking another step in its ongoing efforts to deliver smarter, more accessible banking solutions while further enriching its customers’ digital banking experience. The latest updates are designed to provide customers with greater flexibility, personalization, and control, reaffirming the Bank’s commitment to offering seamless and secure digital services and to developing innovative, user-focused solutions that fit modern lifestyles.

The refreshed KIB Mobile App now features a redesigned homepage with an intuitive, user-friendly interface that makes navigation easier, and an overall experience tailored to each user’s preferences.

KIB has also launched a new Donate as You Spend feature, enabling customers to automatically contribute to charitable organizations with every purchase they make. This feature empowers users to give back effortlessly, integrating social responsibility into everyday spending and reinforcing KIB’s role in supporting the community.

The Dormant Account Reactivation feature offers customers the convenience of reactivating inactive accounts instantly through the app, without the need for branch visits or additional paperwork, giving customers full control over their banking activities from anywhere.

To further simplify administrative tasks, KIB has also introduced a digital salary transfer certificate, allowing customers to instantly generate and download official documents directly from the app.

With the new Transfer and Card Limit Management options, customers can set, modify, and monitor their transaction and card limits in real time. This added flexibility enhances both security and financial control, allowing users to tailor their banking experience according to their personal needs and comfort levels.

KIB has also introduced a Kids Account Management feature that gives parents greater oversight and control of their children’s accounts, while supporting financial learning and responsibility from an early age.

Another enhancement to the KIB Mobile App is the integration of Western Union services that allows for convenient international money transfers, while the new Visa Click to Pay function enables faster and more secure online purchases in line with global best practices.

Commenting on the new updates, Nawaf Al-Khrayef, Deputy General Manager of the Retail Banking Department, said: “At KIB, we’re continuously finding new ways to make digital banking easier, safer, and more personalized. The latest app upgrade reflects KIB’s ongoing investment in cutting-edge digital infrastructure. Our focus was to give customers a technically powerful app that works seamlessly with fewer steps, stronger authentication, and minimal downtime. By enhancing security frameworks, integrating global payment solutions, and automating key services, we are enabling faster, safer, and more effortless interactions across every touchpoint.”

Al-Khrayef added: “These enhancements were developed to give customers greater control over managing their finances. Our goal is to make every interaction with KIB, from mobile banking to ATMs and customer support, reliable and intuitive. This milestone reflects our continuous journey to create a customer experience that saves time, empowers financial decisions, and keeps pace with Kuwait’s dynamic lifestyle.”

From his side Khalid Al-Sumait, Executive Manager - Core Digital Factory at KIB, stated: “Every feature in this release was thoughtfully designed around real customer behavior and the modern Kuwaiti lifestyle.
