Burgan Bank Concludes its Sponsorship and Participation in Al Ahmadi Governorate's 4th Blood Donation Campaign

In contribution to the public health awareness of Al Ahmadi Governorate residents

Kuwait, 12 June 2023:  Burgan Bank announced that is has concluded its sponsorship of and participation in Al Ahmadi Governorate’s fourth Blood Donation Campaign, titled “Every Drop…Saves a Life”, which took place at Al-Kout Mall. The campaign, organized under the auspice of His Excellency Sheikh Fawaz Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Al Ahmadi Governor, comes as part of the Bank’s social responsibility program and its joint efforts with Kuwait’s national arms to elevate the community’s shared welfare. 
The campaign successfully received a total of 161 blood donations, including rare blood types, which ensures the Blood Bank is able to continue supplying patients in need with proper, uncompromised medical care. Besides the amassed blood donations, the campaign was also successful in raising awareness of the importance of blood donation for saving lives. 

Commenting on the campaign’s wide success, Ms. Hessa Hussain Al-Najadah, Senior Manager of Corporate and CSR Communications at Burgan Bank, said: “We take pride in sponsoring the successful blood drive in cooperation with Al Ahmadi Governorate and the Blood Transfusion Services Department at the Ministry of Health. The Bank’s support of this campaign is a further testament to our active role in giving back to the community and our commitment to enhancing Kuwait’s public health system to ensure an adequate and sustainable supply of blood and its products. By organizing this annual campaign, we emphasize the need to instill the culture of blood donation among members of society in various factions and raise awareness about its importance throughout the year.
