Burgan Bank remains a steadfast supporter of Al Ahmadi Governorate's initiatives

Kuwait, 5 June  2023:  Burgan Bank recently announced the renewal of its long-standing partnership with the Al Ahmadi Governorate, continuing its year-long sponsorship of local community initiatives under the governorate’s social campaign for the fourth year in a row. Extending the cooperation aligns with the Bank’s commitment to supporting community partners and its comprehensive social responsibility program. 

As a national initiative designed to promote social and cultural development in Al Ahmadi, Kuwait’s second-largest governorate, the social campaign aims to realize a wide range of goals that will positively impact everyday social life through multi-faceted programs targeting all segments of society. 
Commenting on the renewed partnership, Mrs. Kholoud Rida AlFeeli, Group Head of Marketing and Communications at Burgan Bank, said: “We take pride in the leading social role the Bank has built over the years. We are also delighted to resume our collaboration with Al Ahmadi Governorate to keep creating socially rewarding experiences for society. The success and significant impact of the governorate’s campaign over the past few years, in terms of strengthening social ties and driving positive change, has given us further motivation to continue this longstanding relationship and make a difference in the lives of our community members.” 
As part of the joint action, Burgan Bank will be supporting numerous activities and initiatives that are in line with its social responsibility pillars, which reflect the Bank’s commitment to fostering education, sustainability, and environmental awareness. To this end, the Bank will sponsor the fourth edition of the Al Ahmadi Governorate’s blood donation campaign in June to continue advocating for increased public health awareness. As for the month of October, the Bank will take part in the governorate’s tree planting activities at various Al Ahmadi schools, as part of its ambition to reduce the impact of climate change across Kuwait and bring school students closer to nature. The Bank will also support the governorate’s sports events, such as next year’s Al Ahmadi Marathon, in continuation of its dedicated efforts to bolster the sports sector in Kuwait. In addition, the Bank will actively support the “Let's Be Aware” (Diraya) campaign through school visits to spread banking awareness and promote financial culture among children of all ages. 

For his part, Ibrahim Al-Foudari, Director of the Technical Office in the Al Ahmadi Governorate, indicated that the ongoing partnership between the governorate and Burgan Bank highlights the confidence of the public and private sectors in the active role of social work and long partnerships in serving the community to promote the principles of social responsibility. He also praised the joint efforts and close cooperation between the two parties over the past two years, pointing to the various events, activities, and programs organized in this regard. Furthermore, Al-Foudari explained that the collaborative plan for the current year comprises many activities, seminars, and awareness-raising events across the fields of health, environment, and sports, in addition to the support of national talent, in line with the long-term developmental project which was launched by His Excellency the Governor of Al Ahmadi Sheikh Fawaz Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah in 2015.
