Kuwait, 15 April 2023: As part of this year’s social responsibility program during Ramadan, Kuwait International Bank (KIB) organized an Iftar meal initiative for those fasting throughout the Holy Month. This initiative was organized with the help of volunteers from KIB, the ‘KIB Heroes’, in line with the Bank’s pledge to play an active role within the local community beyond the scope of its financial services and solutions.
On this occasion, Abdullah Al Khamees, from the Bank’s Marketing and Corporate Communications Unit at KIB, said, “The Iftar meals consist of nutritious, complete daily meals that will be distributed during the holy month of Ramadan. KIB aims to provide Iftar meals for everyone, particularly the most vulnerable families and those who live far away from their loved ones, thereby spreading happiness and putting smiles on their faces. This initiative reiterates the Bank’s commitment to social responsibility as it seeks to positively impact all members of the community through organizing initiatives that embody the virtues of the month of giving.”
Al Khamees also lauded the efforts made by volunteer group ‘KIB Heroes’ to spread values of teamwork and volunteerism, while also contributing to enhancing and strengthening the concept of giving. He also thanked the volunteers from KIB for their hard work, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between all members of the community to promote values of goodness, hope and love. Al Khamees concluded by affirming that the initiative combines humanitarian, social and religious causes that aim to better serve all segments of Kuwait’s society.
It is worth noting that the distribution of Iftar meals is a vital initiative within KIB’s social responsibility program during Ramadan, in line with the Bank’s strategic vision and leading role as an active community member. Every year, KIB looks forward to launching its Ramadan campaign that comprises a range of religious, social, charitable, and humanitarian activities to complement its track record of impactful community initiatives, especially at this time of year.
