Kuwait, 24 April 2024: KIB Mubader Center, the subsidiary of Kuwait International Bank (KIB), announced the launch of the country’s first e-commerce marathon. Taking place on May 1st, ‘E-Cothon’ aims to foster entrepreneurial spirit and innovation, enhancing sales skills via social media platforms and equipping entrepreneurs with the knowledge to create effective marketing strategies. Commenting on the initiative, Mohammad Al-Huwaidi, Head of Mubader, said: 'Organizing the digital commerce competition 'E-Cothon' is part of KIB Mubader Center's ongoing commitment to actively contribute to the development of a generation of talented Kuwaiti entrepreneurs and meet the needs of local business leaders. By providing the modern and comprehensive entrepreneurial environment they seek, KIB Mubader aims to help them achieve their goals across various business sectors. This support is delivered through offering the highest level of educational and training services, utilizing the latest advanced curricula and cutting-edge technology. The marathon will kick off by providing a range of training and educational programs for the participating entrepreneurs from May 15 to May 30. These programs will cover a variety of important topics, including business models, value proposition models, business improvement strategies, marketing pathways, and using Meta’s Ad Manager. The trainings will be followed by practical application and the launch of sales campaigns from June 1 to June 10. The marathon will conclude on June 12, with the top three winners being honored the following day. The first-place winner will receive a certificate of program completion, KD 100, and 30% of the net profits from their sales campaign. The second-place winner will also receive a certificate, KD 100, and 20% of the net profits from their campaign. The third-place winner will be awarded a certificate, KD 100, and 10% of the net profits from their sales campaign.
