Kuwait - 29 December 2020: Burgan Bank concluded its participation in ‘Orange the World’ campaign wherein three of its branches situated in Bayan, Al-Salam and Adailiya were lit in orange from 25 November until 10 December 2020. Led by UN Women, the universal initiative aimed at highlighting the women survivors of violence and psychological abuse, giving them a voice and strengthening their role in society. The campaign falls under the declaration on the ‘Elimination of Violence Against Women’ that was issued by the UN General Assembly, to help protect the role and rights of women all over the world, who have been victims of abuse and face potential threats. Mr. Majed Essa Al Ajeel, Chairman of Burgan Bank group said, “We are proud to have participated in a strong and powerful global movement,” Orange the World' campaign. We thank the UN Women for their appreciation of our support as we continue to contribute to the cause and its objective of eliminating violence against women.
