Al-Ahmadi Governor Honors Burgan Bank for its Contribution and Support in the Community Initiatives

Kuwait - 22 October 2020:  In appreciation of its continued partnership and support of the year-long community initiatives, Burgan Bank was presented with an honorary shield by the Al-Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Fawaz Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. The honorary shield was received by the Public Relations representatives of Burgan Bank represented by the Head of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations, Mr. Qutaibah Ahmad Al Rabe and Manager - Public Relations, Ms. Hessa Hussain Al-Najadah.

In this occasion, Mr. Qutaibah Ahmad Al Rabe said: “We are proud to be honored with this token of appreciation from His Excellency the Governor of Al-Ahmadi and are delighted that we could be an important part of the many impactful programs and governorate initiatives, which falls within our corporate social responsibility and strategy. We also strongly believe in fostering the combined efforts and collaboration between the governmental and private sectors in order to achieve sustainability and advancement in society.” 

It is worth noting that the solid and long-standing partnership between Burgan Bank and the Ahmadi Governorate falls under the development project, 'My Governorate is Beautiful', which aims to shed light on several aspects and topics of interest that will benefit the community members. Such notable initiatives and sponsorships include the ‘First Ahmadi Governorate Blood Donation’ Campaign, Greening and Environmental awareness day, the Vocational Rehabilitation exhibition of works created by people with special needs, as well as support on other activities during the Coronavirus outbreak. Additionally, the Bank retains its presence in the Al-Ahmadi district with five branches as a means to facilitate the citizens’ access to a comprehensive suite of offerings accompanied by premium customer support. 

Burgan Bank's support of this initiative falls under its dynamic full-fledged community program entitled ‘ENGAGE’ - Together to be the change. This program sheds light on important aspects affecting every segment of the society by promoting social welfare through educational, cultural and health driven initiatives.
