Burgan Bank recently partnered with the American United School (AUS) in helping sponsor the school's annual National and Liberation Day Carnival. The day-long carnival, held on the school’s premises, hosted around 1,500 participants, including staff, students, and their families. This sponsorship comes as part of Burgan’s comprehensive social responsibility program and its vital role as an active and engaged corporate citizen.
Commenting on the Bank’s sponsorship, Ms. Hessa Hussain Al-Najadah, Senior Manager – Corporate & CSR Communications at Burgan Bank, said: “We were honored and delighted to sponsor and participate in AUS’s fun-packed National and Liberation Day carnival. Every year, the month of February marks an excellent opportunity to plant the seeds of national pride and love for our beloved Kuwait in the hearts of young students through fun and engaging games and activities. There is no greater joy for us than to contribute to gathering young Kuwaitis around our shared love for our nation, ensuring that they grow into proactive citizens who spare no effort to develop their communities and country. The AUS carnival included a wide range of engaging games, activities, and art workshops, designed to engage all students and family members. The event also hosted several shows and traditional Kuwaiti performances”.
It serves to note that Burgan Bank’s National Day celebrations took various other forms, such as its sponsorship of the reimagined edition of the iconic children’s play “Al-Sindbad Al-Bahri” – in partnership with Trend Productions. The Bank’s celebrations also included unveiling the “Beladona Helwa” song and video, which pays homage to Kuwait and the deep-rooted love for the homeland. Additionally, Burgan introduced a limited-edition National Day prepaid card, which was especially adorned with symbols of Kuwait and lyrics from the popular song “Beladona Helwa”.
