Kout Food Group Opens Three New Restaurants at Jazeera Terminal 5
- Pizza Hut, Subway and Burger King to serve passengers at Jazeera Terminal 5 (T5)
 
Kuwait, 15 March 2023 – Kout Food Group has collaborated with Jazeera Airways to open three new restaurants in Jazeera Terminal 5 (T5) at the Kuwait International Airport. Pizza Hut and Subway will serve passengers on the landside before immigration, while Burger King is located on the airside after passport control. Burger King also caters to passengers transiting through T5. 
 
Amin Mohamed, Chief Executive Officer of Kout Food Group, Rohit Ramachandran, Chief Executive Officer, Jazeera Airways, company executives and other dignitaries from the DGCA and MOI, attended the official inaugural event held at the airport earlier today. 
Kout Food Group, a leading restaurant franchise operator in Kuwait started its business operations in 1982 with the iconic home-grown brand of restaurants – Hungry Bunny. Since then, the group has evolved to become a leading independent brand owner as well as a trusted franchise partner for international brands such as Burger King, Pizza Hut, Subway, Taco Bell and Applebee’s, among others. Today, the Group has over 250 stores in Kuwait, employing over 4,000 professionals that represent a global mix of 40 nationalities.  
 
Speaking at the opening event, Amin Mohamed, Chief Executive Officer, Kout Food Group said: “It is a great opportunity for us to partner with Jazeera Airways and open our iconic brands Pizza Hut, Subway and Burger King restaurants at Jazeera Terminal 5. At Kout Food Group, our mission is to create happy customer experiences in every bite. T5 servers millions of passengers a year! We are glad to be of service as we wish them safe travel or welcome them back to our beautiful country Kuwait”.
Jazeera Airways, Kuwait’s leading low cost carrier serves a network of 59 destinations with a fleet of 19 aircraft. The airline also owns and operates T5, ensuring an enhanced passenger experience with dedicated check-in, fast immigration and short transfer distances. In 2022, T5 went through several upgrades that included a single security check before departure, additional boarding gates and aero-bridges, a larger transit hall fully facilitated to serve connecting passengers, an enhanced duty free shop, as well as more retail and food and beverage outlets.
 
Rohit Ramachandran, Chief Executive Officer, Jazeera Airways highlighted: “We are pleased to collaborate with Kout Food Group to introduce new dining options for our passengers at T5. Around 4.5 million passengers travel through T5 annually, and at Jazeera Airways, we strive to provide them with quick and affordable meal options. The new restaurants add to our efforts in expanding services at T5 and offering a better customer experience and smoother journeys, not only for passengers that are departing or arriving but also those transiting through the airport.”
